A stunning vintage party dress, made by designer Belleville Sassoon by Lorcan Mullany. Originally sold at a London boutique called ‘Palmer’

A black velvet bodice with a slight peplum over a voluminous tartan skirt with built in petticoats. Amazing heavy sequin trim to neckline, and decorative bows to the straps and to the back.

Light boning to the bodice to add structure.

There are a large amount of fabric contents labels on the inside which all refer to synthetics, but the quality of this dress is very high and the materials all feel excellent. I wonder if a label for the velvet or skirt saying it contains silk hasn’t been accidentally left off, as the labels for small vintage brands are not always 100% accurate.

Excellent vintage condition with no signs of wear or age.

Marked as a UK 12 but may come up small
