A beautiful silk drop-waist dress, made by Jane Howard of Altrincham
Made with ruched puff sleeves, and a gentle drop waist.
No fabric label, but this is 100% silk.
V neck, trimmed with dark brown lace.
The style of this dress is somewhere between a 20s and 30s silhouette, with the dropped waist and puffed sleeves, making it slightly hard to date precisely. The condition is also very good, perhaps suggesting that it dates from a slightly more recent time.
No fabric contents label, but the dress is definitely made from fine silk. Please note that although the dress looks to be a navy blue in some of the pictures, in most lights it appears closer to black.
