See By Chloe 2000s Silk Evening Dress. EU 38

A stunning vintage silk dress, made for See by Chloe during Phoebe Philo’s directorship of the brand.

Made from two layers of silk chiffon, with ultra fine silver sequin details to the neckline and hem.

Made with spaghetti straps and a low neckline with criss-cross detailing to the chest. The skirt is cut from long flared panels that give it wonderful movement.

Fastens with a hidden side zip.

Condition: The dress is mostly very good, but there is a slight issue with some perished interfacing which has flaked and become trapped between the two layers of silk around the chest. It looks a bit like bleached spots, but moves around and collects at the bottom seams. (Please see the last photograph for details). I think the only way of removing this might be to cut open the inner layer somewhere and shake the old fabric out.
Otherwise the dress is in very good condition with only one very small mark to the hem.
