Antique Theatre Costume. Silk 1700s Style Waistcoat

A wonderful antique costume waistcoat from the theatre.

The front is a lovely duck egg blue satin/silk, with rough calico to the back.

In heavily used, worn and adapted condition. The silk in the lining has completely shattered, and the silk on the outisde is going a little bit around the seams too.

Ties to the back, buttons to the front

Many alterations over the years – the pockets have been partially sewn shut, there is a lot of hand sewing and some marks.

Great for display but could also be worn as the lining fabric is still strong.

Very adjustable in size, so the measurements below are approximate.
