1920s Silk Velvet Black Dress. 43″ Chest

A stunning velvet evening dress, dating from the late 20s or early 30s.

Madey from beautifully soft silk velvet – black but with quite pronounced brown undertones.

Wide shawl collar. Soft silhoutte.

The dress has a low neckline, but also some hidden hooks and eyes to draw it a bit more closed if desired. The waist is actually at the natural line, but a square detail at the front has been extended down to give it a slightly dropped look.

No makers label but very well sewn.

In very good condition for its age, with no significant signs of age or wear.
